Setting my Sights on Jozi with City Sightseeing Hop-on Bus

“All roads lead to Johannesburg” Alan Paton.

After working and living in Johannesburg for almost two years, I wanted to be intimately reintroduced to the hidden gems in the City of Gold. The #CitySightseeing hop-on hop-off bus was the perfect vessel to highlight Johannesburg’s charm and remind me why I fell in love with this city of contrasts.

With over 16 stops, visiting over 20 of Johannesburg’s top attractions, this experience is a must-do for tourists and locals alike. The trip was enriched by the enthusiasm of our fellow passengers and the expert knowledge of the staff, who provided a friendly and informative guiding hand.

The Green Tour conveniently kicked off in Rosebank and explored the leafy suburbs around Zoo Lake with stops at the Johannesburg Zoo and the Military Museum, before reaching Constitution Hill.

At this point we switched over to the Red City Tour and continued our journey around the inner city stopping at the Carlton Center, the James Hall Museum of Transport, Gold Reef City Theme Park, the Apartheid Museum, the SAB World of Beer or the Origins Center at Wits before returning back to Constitution Hill and ultimately back to Rosebank.

From the Apartheid museum to adrenaline rushes at Goldreef City and from Constitutional Hill to celebratory beers at SAB Brewery – this Double Decker Hop-on – Hop-off Bus  gets you ready to paint the town red!

There is even on-board audio commentary in 15 languages (English, Afrikaans, Arabic, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Zulu).

Thank you #CitySightseeing for effectively capturing the beauty and vibrancy of the city I am blessed to call home!

bye for now
